Synology DSM 7.0 not supported #114
Comments
Same here. Just updated on a NAS that is a test unit. Any idea when the packages will be updated for DSM 7? I noticed when I moved up, it updated every synology package I had installed, so it must be a complete re-write. |
It's not working. Before they finish the upgrading on DSM 7 package, you can use Docker. I'm using spikhalskiy/zerotier-containerized with privileged Docker container. And it's working. |
I tried three Docker containers and I can join my network with all of them but they do have something in common: The NAS does not appear in the network. I can't ping the given IP, I can't open DSM with the IP and I can't open it in Windows Explorer to connect network shares etc. So, basically the Is there a way to fix this? I tried the spikhalskiy/zerotier-containerized as well as the zerotier/zerotier container and the bltavares/zerotier container. All with the same problem that my DS220+ does not apppear anywhere. |
Hey everyone. Thank you for your patience. We have new instructions for getting ZeroTier to work on Synology's latest DSM 7. Let me know if you have any trouble getting this to work. |
@joseph-henry Is there a proposed solution for ARM64 based synology devices which don't have docker support? |
@joseph-henry Also, the Docker container approach doesn't appear to support IPv6 networking over zerotier. At all. Any services set up previously with ipv6 addresses just fail to connect. |
Tailscale updated package for the DSM 7 and it works fine (Tailscale also use tun). Link 1 and link 2. |
@macosgupta after almost 2 years, still no solution for an ARM based Synology? |
Zero Tier package now says "The package version installed is incompatible with your DSM". I am on version 1.4.0-0.
