I think we could increase the realism and coverage of benchmarks if we introduced functionality to let benchmarks fork off of a specific mainnet block. For example https://github.com/mds1/convex-shutdown-simulation.
This would require implementing runner functionality to accept a block number to fork off of and to use that as the base state for execution.
