Hi are there any plans to add support for winget installation?

OS: Windows 10
Terminal: Pwsh

Micro for Windows is shipped as a portable application inside a zip file. WinGet currently does not support portable applications. The issue is being tracked here microsoft/winget-cli#182. Once WinGet gets portable apps support micro can be added there.

Seems like the issue is closed now, and it should be supported in winget.

Winget now supports portable apps but not the ones inside a zip file.

Any chance it could be released as both zip and single exe?

My bad. I saw that microsoft/winget-cli#2500 was merged a week ago, and thought it meant that it was supported.

As MrAdam mentioned microsoft/winget-cli#2500 adds support for installing portable app inside a zip file but it's still experimental and there is no new build that supports this feature. We will have to wait until it becomes a stable feature.
