hapi-limitd is an hapi plugin for auth0/limitd deamon.
This decorate the response (also the request, providing a way to read the informations) with three headers: x-ratelimit-limit
, x-ratelimit-remaining
, x-ratelimit-reset
.
The hapi-limitd is developed by 720kb.
Node.js v5.0+
$ npm install hapi-limitd --save
Here is an example registering the plugin:
server.register({
'register': require('hapi-limitd'),
'options': {
'endpoint': 'limitd://localhost:9001',
'bucket': 'user',
'inRequestKey': 'info.received'
}
}, err => {
...
The options
map contains:
endpoint
: limitd endpoint;bucket
: the bucket defined in limitd;inRequestKey
: the request key that identify the user.
If you want to enable the limiting count on routes you have to fill the config.plugins.limitd
to true.
For example:
server.route({
'method': 'GET',
'path': '/ping',
'handler': (request, reply) => {
reply('pong');
},
'config': {
'plugins': {
'limitd': true
}
}
});
