Django Boards

how to run project

  • python manage.py runserver

Installing Rabbitmq in mac

  • brew install rabbitmq
  • brew services start rabbitmq

Installing redis in mac

  • brew install redis
  • brew services start redis

how to run celery

start one Worker node

  • celery -A DjangoBoards worker -l info

start flower feom celery for watching and monitoring

  • celery flower -A DjangoBoards --address=127.0.0.1 --port=555

start beat from celery for chrontab or scheduled task

  • celery -A DjangoBoards beat -l info

start celery beat with custom schedulers

  • celery -A DjangoBoards beat -l info --scheduler django_celery_beat.schedulers:DatabaseScheduler

Necessary Rabbitmq Configurations

  • rabbitmq-plugins enable rabbitmq_management

  • rabbitmqctl add_user root root

  • rabbitmqctl set_user_tags root administrator

  • rabbitmqctl add_vhost sample_host

  • rabbitmqctl set_permissions -p sample_host root "." "." ".*"

  • Rabbitmq management page access url : http://localhost:15672/#/users/root

Django Management Commands

  • python manage.py squashmigrations --squashed-name accounts_migration accounts start_migration_file_name end_migration_file_name

     for ex:  
     1. python manage.py squashmigrations --squashed-name accounts_migration accounts 0001_initial 0002
     2. python manage.py squashmigrations --squashed-name boards_migration boards 0001_initial 0002 
    
  • python manage.py collectstatic

     for ex:
     1. For collecting All static files into static root dir confogured in setting.py that will use in production.
    
  • python manage.py findstatic md/simplemde.min.js

    for ex:
    1.Found 'md/simplemde.min.js' here:   /Users/akumars1/Downloads/python_project/Django_projects/DjangoBoards/static/md/simplemde.min.js
    
  • python manage.py check

    for ex:
    1.System check identified no issues (0 silenced).
    
  • python manage.py showmigartions

    accounts

  • python manage.py sqlmigrate boards 0001_boards_migration

    Before Running python manage.py migrate command you can check what query will execute on Db migrate .
