We've never been able to embed WordPress content for WordPress.com simple sites due to security concerns - even in the classic editor when pasting an oEmbed URL.

Perhaps we can just remove the block from appearing?

I didn't realize that would be the case, thanks Alister! I can confirm I am not able to embed WordPress links on WordPress.com editor (Calypso editor) either.

Thanks @arunsathiya I'll be using #28326 to remove this in both places.

I really wish we could user this block, I love pasting links to plugins (from the repo) and have the info for the plugin and the header shown automatically.

Just to be clear, is this Block going to be removed from the block editor in simple sites?

Thank you!
