Azure network security is a set of native services that can be leveraged to secure cloud and hybrid networks using the Zero Trust approach.
This community will provide information on Azure Network Security artifacts that can improve your security posture: concepts, templates, workbooks, updates etc. The primary tools we will cover here are Azure Firewall and Firewall Manager, Azure DDoS Protection, and Azure Web Application Firewall. Visit the What's new timeline to see the recent artifacts.
It is pertinent to state that while we are concentrating on these core network security services, other azure security measures are encouraged- WAF tuning, Log analytics, Demos. Building a secure Azure network can involve a vast array of resources. Expect attention to also be paid to Azure Bastion, Network Watcher, NSGs, as well as core networking components ranging from Route Tables to Virtual WAN.
The Azure Network security GitHub community provides a forum for community members to join in and submit their contributions Pull Requests, or new contribution ideas as Issues. These contributions can be based on your idea of the value your contribution provides to enterprises, it can be an artifact derived from our GitHub open issues list, or even an enhancement to existing contributions.

This section provides some insight into and how to contribute to the Azure Network Security GitHub Community. This project welcomes contributions and suggestions. However, most contributions require you to agree to a Contributor License Agreement (CLA) declaring that you have the right to, and actually do, grant us the rights to use your contribution. For details, please visit https://cla.microsoft.com.
Network security artifacts that improve the overall customer experience in the Azure Network is welcome. ARM Templates, Monitoring workbooks, LogicApp Playbooks, Azure Policy Definitions, PowerShell scripts and automation artifacts are encouraged for submission.

Templates to be submitted for review should generally follow these guidelines:
- Document in a readme.md file some information on what your artifact will do and provide dependency information if required
- Please provide an ARM template that can be deployed with a click using the Deploy to Azure button. Make sure to include the button as a clickable link to the deployment in your readme.md.
- Please make sure your template is generalized, which means that environment-specific information, such as resource group names, locations, storage account names, or subscription IDs should either be provided by the customer, or dynamically generated during the deployment.
After you have developed and tested that your contribution works as expected, please follow the general contribution guidelines for the Azure Network security GitHub repository to open a Pull Request and submit your contribution. We will review your submission before merging your PR
