Design and idea contributions

I did the following:

• Wrote down CODEOWNERS validation proposal: Implement CODEOWNERS file changes validation (gating), with baselining #4859 (comment) with rules written down here.
• Wrote down (and implemented) CODEOWNERS wildcard-support proposal: Add support for wildcard handling of file matching in codeowners library #2770 (comment)
• Proposed GitHub workflow API to use in CheckEnforcer which ended up being applied.
• Proposed Implement new CODEOWNERS syntax for labelling workflow #5945.
• Championed creation of high-quality wiki docs for the Azure REST API spec tooling we inherited.

Completed large size tasks

Support for wildcard paths in CODEOWNERS
and its contents standardization across all language repos:

• Add support for wildcard handling of file matching in codeowners library #2770
• Enable the new, regex-based, wildcard-supporting CODEOWNERS matcher #5088

.NET version update in azure-sdk-tools:

• Some of our internal pipelines fail to build due to using out-of-support .NET SDKs #4934
• Some of our tools use latest SDKs to build instead of specifically declared ones #4935

Ubuntu images update in azure-sdk-tools:

• The template for prepare-pipelines is broken by the move to ubuntu-22.04 #4888
• Migrate all Ubuntu images in azure-sdk-tools (including latest) to Ubuntu 22.04 #4967

Azure Azure REST API spec PR tooling support:

• I triaged and assisted with 30+ support requests from our users related to our Azure REST API spec PR tooling.

Completed medium size tasks

Windows version update in azure-sdk-tools:

• Where applicable, update Windows pools used to azsdk-pool-mms-win-2022-general and rename vmImage to the windows-20xx format #5493

• Have common script/template for install dotnet tool #2225
• Migrate to global.json for .NET usage in our templates #5009

Improvements to /eng/common-tests:

• Move the test flag from get-codeowners.ps1 to the common PS1 test infra, common-tests #5434
• Move get-codeowners.ps1 test mode to common-tests + related improvements & cleanup #5608

ShiftLeft pipeline bugfixes:

• ShiftLeft pipeline support request by Fuming Zhang: Sync Tsp to GitHub task is removing files unexpectedly #5788
• ShiftLeft pipeline support request by Fuming Zhang: Sync Swagger to GitHub task is producing an empty diff #5725

Documentation:

• Write down developer guidance for ShiftLeft pipeline #5900
