Since changes made in #223, the entire process for running the test ensemble has been completely changed (albeit for the better). These changes have not been reflected in the documentation, and many steps listed there are no longer needed/valid. This should be fixed ASAP.

Also, worth noting: given that pip install --editable "." --install-option="--with-binaries" makes calls directly to GCC, this command will fail abruptly for Windows users. This should also be mentioned.
