Node keeps dropping out of sync [BUG]

Have been trying this coin for 2 weeks now and my node does not stay synced. It stays synced for half a day or a full day then drops out. I get home from work or wake up in the morning to find my node hours and hours out of sync which then takes half a day to sync back up again, then a day and a half later the same thing?????

Sorry but am not wasting anymore of my time or resources on this, you've wasted enough of that already. Thanks, bye.

Same here. 4 days and no sync. Running latest version 1.1.5
wonder if I should go back to 1.1.4 when it was running.

so ive turned off windows defender firewall , completely ...... this seems to be holding up pretty well, I also spotted my wifi connection is set to public which isnt going to help at all !, I am going to change my wifi profile to private when plotting finishes and then turn on the firewall with the appropriate exclusions.

The main discovery for me though is this is firewall related , i turn it off and all works well.

It's not firewall related for me. it's syncing but at ridicolous speed... And after couple of hours sync is completed, node becomes out-of-sync again.

Doesn't help that you have to wait hours for your plotting to finish before making any changes , either to your own machines network settings or logging level.

Not much chance of winning at farming in this state......... :-(

My debug.log is very similar to yours @BigFactHunt . The sync is going so slowly that when it reaches the peak, the peak just moved up, and so on indefinitely. I tried everything adding peers manually, introcuer. Port forwardign from 8444 to 8555, disabling windows defender. Nothing works. It's just dead.

Really, 1 week like this.... It might just be to be in sync with the "whale" move occuring in crypto market this week.... and preventing little guys to farm, and maybe get some chia if lucky. With the speed at which the TiB of the blockahin are increasing, it's just a wall that stomped on our head.... Really really the opposite of what chia was supposed to be.

I've only got it working in Windows. Downloaded it and copied of over the existing copy.

Finally did it.
I downgraded to version 1.1.4 from 1.1.5.
Since I did not have a lot of plots (76) i decided to go for the full metadata sync and not use old info at all.
It took two days but it holds now.
No ports opened, no firewall off ... barebone windows pc with plots on a 8TB hdd

One thing I did also. to speed up, I used the introducer and the node.
Withing minutes I had like 5 nodes connected and started sync.

Hope it holds

The shock !!! : When I start having the issues, the wait time was 7-8 months now is a year ... good job Chia folks for make it impossible !
Lets hope pools come in and we are able to use our plots otherwise... I kiss you all good bye.

@auzhuntr , the newest version(s) of chia has fixes in place to resolve this issue. Please download it from here: https://www.chia.net/downloads/

Please note that upgrading major versions of chia generally requires the config.yaml to be recreated using these steps:
1. Stop chia
2. Rename the config or move it to a different directory
3. In CLI run chia init
4. Copy any custom settings from the old config to the new (plot drive directories, pool info, trusted node info, etc) - be careful here as yaml is very picky about formatting including those leading spaces
5. Start Chia
