Instructions: Use this repo as a package in your project named terrain, ex: git submodule add git://github.com/Craig-Macomber/Panda3D-Terrain-System.git terrain a sample using this library can be found here: https://github.com/Craig-Macomber/infiniteRalph Terrain Bakery: This is one of 3 parts to the proposed terrain system. It is the middle step between the editor and the renderer. Its job is to bake all the procedural and editor specified content into tiles ready to be rendered. Within the current design, there are 2 aspects to this, map generation, and mesh placement. Map generation generates things like height maps and detail texture maps, as well as any other textures (maps) needed for the tiles for things like procedural mesh distributions. Warning: Status documentation is out of date, along with some of the general documentation. One of the bakeries, bakery.gpuBakery, loads one of the bakery folders, which contain project specific map information in the form of specially formatted shader files. It then saves the output maps as tiles. One issue with bakery.gpuBakery is the error handling of shader errors. The line numbers between the files you edit, and the shaders loaded (and thus reported line numbers) are quite different. To aid in debugging for now, the full shaders are written to the ShadersOut folder, though it may not be clear which shader causes the errors, it should help. Renderers: Included are multiple renders. The most stable, and thus default, is the RenderAutoTiler.
