Their answers

Galleon is not yet capable of locally forging smart contract operations. Due to this incapability, every time you try to interact with a smart contract, the Tezos Node you are connected to will forge the operation on your behalf. Although this sounds fine, it puts some amount of trust between you and the Tezos Node. If the Tezos Node you are using is compromised or malicious, it might end up forging a fake transaction without you noticing.

Galleon is capable of locally verifying operations such as sending a transaction, originating a delegated address or changing the baker of a delegated address and not allowing you to complete them if something seems off. We are working hard on adding the same verification methods to smart contract interactions and hoping to release it with our upcoming version.

'The provided string doesn't look like hex data' error during importing a fundraiser account shows that a value entered is incorrect.

We have noticed that some users make the mistake of copying and pasting an additional blank after a value. Please make sure that you don't have a space after any of the values you entered.

i.e; '[email protected]' is correct but '[email protected] ' is not.

Leaving a space after any entry is a common mistake. Please double check that you don't have a space after your key hash, password or activation code.

If you are certain that you have entered your 15-word seed, public key hash, e-mail address and activation code correctly, the only option remaining for an error is your password. Please make sure that you are using the password which you have used when generating the Tezos paper wallet to participate in the Fundraiser back in summer 2017.

Most probably you are using an older version of Galleon, which does not support the most recent version of the Tezos protocol. Please upgrade your wallet to the most recent version and try sending the same transaction again.

Galleon does not yet offer support for Trezor. Although it is our roadmap, we do not have an estimated time of release for this feature. At the meantime, we suggest you take a look at TezBox or SimpleStaking for Trezor support.
