@michaelweinold this sounds really interesting, have you all started working on this? Is there a GitHub Repo somewhere that one could peek at? 🫣 |

The initial draft which was produced during the seminar/hackathon can be accessed at: https://bw-jemesouviens.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ I will be cleaning up the code over the coming weeks. |

Hello,
Just to say I discovered a brightway package (quite recent actually : the
initial github ( https://github.com/brightway-lca/bw_timex ) commit is from
last month, so it didn't exist at the time of the spring school) that is
doing almost everything we wanted to do : bw_timex. It just doesn't have an
user interface, so it is possible the package we developed would be
adaptable to have the working user interface we wanted : Time-explicit LCA
of an electric vehicle — bw_timex documentation (brightway.dev)
<https://docs.brightway.dev/projects/bw-timex/en/latest/content/examples/example_ev.html>
Have a great day !
Louis

Short Description
Help users enter data required for temporalis module
Long Description
Temporalis module allows the user to determine the period of time during which each emission occurs and its temporal distribution. BUT the user needs to identify herself the most relevant exchanges to temporalise.
This new package would first calculate the static score and then allow the user to temporalise exchanges from the most contributing to the least contributing (and stop when a cutoff criterion is reached).
This would be relevant for products with long lifetimes (e.g., hydropower dams) and useful for example for carbon budget planification.
