Under certain circumstances it is possible to close droidplanner without it properly releasing the gps. This means that the GPS continues searching even after droidplanner is closed. Here's how to reproduce:

-open app
-connect to drone
-enter "follow me"
-disconnect
-click home button
-swipe "droidplanner disconnected" away from notifications bar

The GPS will now continue to search. The easiest way to stop it is to force stop droidplanner thru the task manager.
