Speech_to_srt is a desktop application for transcribing audio or video files to .srt format

1. History

We decided to do this project, because sometimes you want to watch a film and there are not any subtitles for that movie on the internet. So me, Ignat Georgiev, and my friend Pavel Kostadinov decided to make that application for the users to benefit of getting the subtitles for every movie they want.

2. Impact and Mechanism

The application is not 100% accurate for now, but we work on it every day, to make it better and better, and I hope that it will be close to 100% accurate subtitles soon. When it is fully ready, it can, not only help people who need subtitles, but help deaf people, who want to listen to a podcast or watch a movie without missing anything.
