###Summary The Hive Engine is a game engine programmed in C++ using OpenGL for graphics. The engine is data driven, parsing game data from XML files in order to build the game world.

The Hive Engine was started by a group of BYU students to learn more about game engines, do something cool, and have something neat to show potential employers. Shortly after beginning work on the project a class was found that would give university credit for the project, so a subset of them enrolled in that class.

The name Hive Engine was chosen as a joke that the engine would surely be full of bugs.
