👋 Hey, I am Joshua Strobl, an open source full-stack / software developer!

I have been contributing to open source since 2008 when I first installed Linux.

  • Currently: Founder and Lead of the Buddies of Budgie open source organization, responsible for the development of the open source Budgie desktop environment.
  • Currently: Support and develop Fedora Budgie Spin and Fedora Budgie Atomic, two spins / editions that ship with Budgie Desktop.
  • Volunteered as Experience Lead of Solus, a Linux-based home computing operating system. I was responsible for development and support of Budgie desktop environment, maintenance of GNOME desktop environment, development of wide-range of software and libraries, community and project management.
  • Improved first and third-party development of Canonical’s Ubuntu Juju cloud platform by improving important parts of documentation, including developer documentation.
  • Expanded support for Microsoft’s Typescript by contributing files to help support the Facebook SDK and jQuery.
