Can't do [1:3, 2] or [1:3 2] or [1:3, [2]] or [1:3 [2]]. Putting 1:3 in brackets is no help. Must do [(1:3)[:],2]

adding vcat for Ranges. addresses issue #150

now [1:3] will convert the range to a vector, and multiple ranges can be concatenated in dimension 1 as well.
