Using an Existing Color Code

As of November 29th 2021, Saturn has a new color code system. You can now create, edit, import and export GameShark color codes in the Appearance window of Saturn: Moon Edition. All color codes are stored as .gs files, which can be found in the saturn addon (these are just renamed .txt files with the raw GameShark code inside).

To copy an existing color code into Moon Edition, copy the GameShark code from an emulator or cometSpectrum and paste it into the GameShark tab. From here, you can save it to a file for later use.

As an example, Saturn comes with SMG4's color code by default.

Creating a Color Code

The easiest way to make a color code is in Saturn's Appearance editor itself. If you want something new, Saturn now has a visual Color Editor website where you can randomize/visualize color codes to use in Saturn or an emulator. This will export a GameShark code.
