removed development-builds section from readme.md #24
Conversation
the development build downloads don't work any more for a long time already. No one seems to care about fixing it, thus the removal from the readme.md. Maybe setting up continuous integration using travis + uploading builds to some github.io repo would be a nice solution.
Hmmmm, maybe there was short service disruption. The development builds are still the latest from the source and still work from the addresses specified in the readme. Was the site not working for you or the build itself? Our servers have been going through some maintenance lately which may have caused some down time. While we do have a continuous integration environment for WWJ right now, it is on our roadmap to transition to Travis in the future. |
In that case you might want to switch your hoster. Tried a couple of times during past months here from Europe and never were able to even browse that website. Downforme.org also reported that the website was not reachable for example yesterday and also 2 hours ago. |
basisbit, I realize this is a closed issue, but wanted to update this thread with our latest work on continuous integration. We've migrated development builds from our unreliable internal Bamboo service to Travis CI, and have integrated our unit tests with the Travis CI builds. Additionally, we've taken this pull request's intent and overhauled README.md to reflect the project's current capabilities. Thank you very much for pointing out these issues. |
thanks a lot for all your work! You rock! |
fyi, the builds.worldwind.arc.nasa.gov server currently isn't reachable and thus the wwd documentation can only be browsed using for example google cache. maybe using github.io webhosting could be a good solution for the documentation of the published releases |
We've decommissioned builds.worldwind.arc.nasa.gov in favor of Travis CI. We'll be redirecting builds.worldwind.arc.nasa.gov to https://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov soon. The World Wind Java releases are now published on GitHub. Note that archived releases currently do not have a valid tag revision, so a link to the old Subversion source is included. The World Wind Java API documentation is available at |
