Description
In the case where the user specifies non-contiguous segments (segments which do not cover the entirety of
d_keys_in
), thenum_items
parameter must include non-covered items. It should be the length of the total range to sort, from the start of the first segment to the end of the last, inclusive of any unused elements.I'm not sure if the wording I used in the docstring is the clearest so please feel free to suggest something better.
