Updating XinaA15

XinaA15 is a jailbreak that can get updates, wow. When updating XinaA15, you must follow specific steps in order to successfully update. Not only that, but there are some things that you lose when updating the jailbreak.

Important Disclaimer

The following below (and possibly more) will be deleted:

• ALL of your tweaks, themes, etc.
• ALL of your repos, jailbreak apps, etc.

Upon or before updating, the following will be kept:

• All currently existing tweak preferences.
• All currently existing files in /var/jb

Updating XinaA15 (App)

• Open TrollStore and find the XinaA15 app.

• Tap on the XinaA15 app and tap: Uninstall App
  → If requested, tap Uninstall to confirm the uninstall.

• After uninstalling, download the latest XinaA15 IPA from the GitHub Releases:

• Upon downloading, install the new XinaA15 IPA using any of the methods below.
  

  Method 1: Opening the .ipa in TrollStore

  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎1. Download the XinaA15 IPA.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎2. Open TrollStore and tap "+"
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎3. Tap "Install IPA File"
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎4. Navigate to your Downloads
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎5. Tap the XinaA15.ipa
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6. Tap Install
  
  Method 2: Sharing with TrollStore through Safari

  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎1. Download the XinaA15 IPA.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎2. Tap "aA" then tap "Downloads"
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎3. Tap the XinaA15 .ipa
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎4. Tap the Share icon
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎5. Tap TrollStore
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6. Tap Install
  
  Method 3: Sharing with TrollStore through Files

  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎1. Download the XinaA15 IPA.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 2. Open Files and navigate to your Downloads
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3. Tap the XinaA15.ipa
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 4. Tap the Share icon
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎5. Tap TrollStore
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 6. Tap Install
  

• After installing, proceed to Updating XinaA15 (Jailbreak)

Updating XinaA15 (Jailbreak)

• Begin by rebooting your device

  Method 1: Slide to Power Off

  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎1. Hold the button combination to go to the Power Menu.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎2. Look at the top and drag the slider to power off your phone.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎3. Wait about 10 to 15 seconds for your phone to fully turn off.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 4. Hold the power button till the Apple Logo shows up.
  Method 2: Force Rebooting

  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎1. Hold the button combination
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎2. Hold the combination until the phone turns off.
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ 3. Keep holding the combination till the Apple Logo shows up.

• Go to your home screen, open XinaA15, and enable Reinstall the jailbreak environment
  

  ‎ ‎1. Open the XinaA15 app.
  ‎ ‎2. Go into Settings
  ‎ ‎3. Enable the Reinstall the jailbreak environment option.

• Exit out of the XinaA15 settings, start the jailbreak, and let it finish.
  

  ‎ 1. Tap the back arrow icon to exit out of settings.
  ‎ 2. Tap OpenJailbreak to start the jailbreak.
  ‎ ‎3. Tap OK on jailbreak is about to be completed!
  ‎ ‎‎4. Your phone should now respring or ldrestart.

• Re-open the XinaA15 app, and check if you're jailbroken.
  

  ‎ ‎1. Make sure the console says: Currently in jailbreak status...
  ‎ ‎2. Make sure the button says: Jailbreak Status
  ‎
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎- If it doesn't state either of that:
  ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎Repeat the jailbreak process again by tapping OpenJailbreak.
