I have also noticed this issue. I have tried the delete key, remove, and the remove and delete data. all of these also delete the data.

It seems to be fixed now, thanks. Just one last very minor issue that doesn't affect functionality, but there are some false error messages that might confuse people:

  1. Remove->Delete Data has always resulted in the message
"Event 'event.download.erased' failed: Bad return code." in the rtorrent console.
  2. After updating the newly-fixed erasedata plugin, I also get this in the rutorrent logger tab:
"XMLRPC Error: Could not find info-hash [getalltrackers]"

#1 has always happened and I've learned to ignore it.
#2 has appeared sporadically in the past, but now it seems to always happen during every Remove operation (both the plain Remove, or RemoveWithData)

Again, these are very minor issues that I usually just ignore, but if you're already paying attention to this plugin then it might reduce some confusion for others if you can get rid of these messages.

  1. Remove->Delete Data has always resulted in the message "Event 'event.download.erased' failed: Bad return code." in the rtorrent console.

Try to restart rTorrent. If this problem still happens, turn on rtorrent execute log and paste failed command here.

This can't be fixed by easy way.

The original problem of erasing too much data is fixed--just run "svn up" on erasedata. The error messages in the logs are not fixed, and presumably won't be without a lot of work. I don't actually care since I just ignore them, I was only reporting them in case there was an easy fix.

BTW Novik, in response to "Event 'event.download.erased' failed: Bad return code", it's strange but I don't even see anything in the execute log when this happens. Once again, this is just a very minor issue that's always been there so I just ignore it.
