Welcome to the wiki for OpenGraphics. Here you will find information about the project, processes, and experiments.

Roadmap

  1. Document current pipeline efforts.
  2. Discuss the best approach for an official pipeline.
  3. Develop a pipeline for asset creation and sprite rendering.
  4. Allow OpenRCT2 to load a replacement graphics pack.
  5. Replace all the G1.dat assets (the minimum required assets to start the game).
  6. Replace the base game rides and scenery graphics.
  7. To be discussed...

We're currently at the very first stage, and the roadmap is subject to changes.

Object Format Information

We currently have some initial documentation for the new JSON format used for objects and for the JSON format used for the sprite compiler (i.e. for compiling our own Gx.DAT file)
