Project Overview:

  • The Real Estate Sales Performance Dashboard is a data analysis project aimed at providing insightful visualizations and comprehensive metrics on real estate sales performance.
  • This dashboard enables company to make informed decisions based on data-driven insights.

Tool Used:

  • PowerBI - Creating Dashboards, Data Visualization

Data Preparation:

Here's a quick rundown of the steps I took in the project:

1️] Data Preparation: Ensured the data was clean, organized, and ready for analysis.

2]DimDate Table Creation: Created a DimDate table with a continuous sequence of dates covering the entire analysis period.

3] Data Modeling: Modeled the data within Power BI to optimize for performance and usability.

4] Data Analysis (DAX): Created calculated measures and columns to derive meaningful insights from the data.

5] Data Visualization (Dashboard): Created visually compelling dashboards to make complex data easily understandable.

Insights:

  1. Overview
  • Total Sales: $2.08M against a target of $1.84M, shows strong performance.
  • Richard: Leading with $928.8K in sales (45% contribution).
  • Highest Sales Month: August, with $273K.
  • Lowest Sales Month: January, with $81K.
  • Project-5: Highest revenue at $1.12M (28%).
  1. Geographical Distribution
  • Sales are concentrated in specific states, highlighting regional strengths and opportunities.
    • Total Properties: 275, with 53 vacant, 47 occupied, and 35 unlisted.
    • Revenue: $2.68M, showcasing significant income generation.

Recommendations:

Based on the analysis, here are some actionable recommendations:

  1. Increase marketing efforts in regions with lower sales.

  2. Implement strategies to convert more vacant and unlisted properties to occupied status.

  3. Continue to prioritize high-revenue projects like Project-5 and Project-3.
