The Patient Message Website allows either a patient or physician to register as a user. As a patient, the user can submit a question regarding their health to physician users. The question is associated with a body systems category and whether this is a new or existing condition. The physician can register as a user and respond to questions where they have expertise. Physicians can view questions sorted by whether it is a new or preexisting condition as well as which questions are unanswered. Both users can edit and delete their communications and edit their profiles. Both user types can also create a profile using their facebook login.
Requires Ruby version 3.1.1 or later
To install the program, fork the repository and copy the SSH link. Run 'bundle install' to install gem dependencies. Run 'rails s' in the terminal to start the server. Navigate to 'http://127.0.0.1:3000/' in the browser.
Upon starting the application, create a new profile or login with your username/password or facebook account. As a patient, ask a new medical question and review any previous responses. As a physician, click on an respond to questions directed towards your medical specialty.
