How do I get Audacity to record a webstream using Soundflower?

I simply select Soundflower as the input device for Audacity (using 2-channel or 16-channel makes no difference). Hitting record button on audacity fails to make it record the webstream. Audacity works fine otherwise, i.e. with mic, etc.

Open Apple’s Audio MIDI Setup.app (in the /Applications/Utilities folder). Make sure that you have the input/output set in (unless set through another 3rd
party program) to go through Soundflower. It cannot relay anything unless it is receiving something.

Additionally, check the output levels of Soundflower in Audio MIDI Setup to make sure that they are not attenuating the signal.

When I click on the flower icon in the menubar (SoundflowerBed) it tells me “Soundflower is not installed!” — What now?

If you just installed Soundflower, the OS may not have been able to start the Soundflower extension for some reason. Typically rebooting the computer will fix this problem.

If you had a previous version of Soundflower installed, it is recommended that you fully uninstall Soundflower using the uninstall script in the latest version prior to re-installing the new version.

Soundflower is installed, but there is no sound!
