This repository contains the material for the SAP TechEd 2021 session called DAT163 - Catalog, Discover, and Prepare: Data Governance with SAP Data Intelligence.

Overview

This session provides attendees an overview of metadata management and data governance capabilities available in SAP Data Intelligence. You will learn about use cases on data discovery, data governance, data quality monitoring, and data preparation. This session includes how a business analyst can discover data, gain insight, enhance and enrich data using self-service data-preparation capabilities in SAP Data Intelligence This hands-on exercises also include how a data steward can define rules and build a dashboard to monitor the quality of data. .

Requirements

The requirements to follow the exercises in this repository are:

• to use a Chrome web browser,
• to register and get your user,
• retrieve a zipped folder with data.

User Registration

1. Register to obtain your username and password

2. Select the workshop entry for this session: dat163-2
   

3. Type your name.
   

4. Click 'Submit'.
   

Pre-Requisites

1. Click on 'DRUG.zip' file (listed above)
   

2. Click 'Download' 'DRUG.zip' file
   

3. Click the Browser back arrow (<-)
   

Note: Suggestion put the files in a folder called 'TechEd_DAT163'

4. Unzip 'DRUG.zip'
   

5. Rename 'DRUG.csv' to 'DRUG_##.csv' (where ## is your user number)
   

Note: For example if you are user teched-dat163-01, then rename your file DRUG_01.csv
