It might be more user-friendly to prompt the user to choose a location to store shared files. Either on first start-up or for each device paired

100%, if no folder is selected I believe it errors out when receiving files. User must select a folder in order for the app to gain permissions to the filesystem.

Possible options:

  • Add "first run" dialog to select a default for all devices
  • When enabling "server can send" permission for files, bring up the select folder dialog (probably best option)

No reply needed, just dev notes

…be prompted to choose a folder to store files. They can click a button to open the folder picker. Once they choose a folder, they are brought to the server settings page and the file destination is updated. #131

Ended up choosing the "first run" option. See c9da9b8
