Which component should be improved?

Hammer

Describe your feature suggestion in more detail

Carve is a genuinely useful tool in Hammer, but it's just far too broken at the moment. Polishing it up and making it more stable would be really helpful.

Ficool has already done the heavy lifting to fix it for Hammer++ (works mostly correctly there), so if he is willing to share with y'all, that'd be nice.

Personally, my ideal fix for carve is to move it into VBSP, rather than performing the destructive step in Hammer. Then the additive brush and the subtractive brush could be independently manipulated without the extra hassle.

Regardless, I think I have some code stashed away somewhere that should be capable of resolving carves at a higher resolution.

Something that’s lower on the priority list though, with all the other hammer changes in going :P
