We are building a platform for easy discovery and commercialization of AI solutions. Think of us like "AppStore for AI" but with more diverse monetization options (Memberships, Targeted ads, Review farming, etc).

Why participate in an Octernship with GitHub

Octernship role description

We're looking for a AI developer to join the App Development Team. This team is responsible for the AI tools to solve common problems faced by students.

Experience with Git & GitHub Passion for AI applications Good communication and research skills

Eligibility

To participate, you must be:
    A verified student on Global Campus
    18 years or older
    Active contributor on GitHub (monthly)

Assignment

    Ideate on possible ways to monetize B2C AI solutions.

Task instructions

    We want you to think of ways B2C AI solutions will be monetized in the future. For example, in the late 90s, search engines were a hot upcoming technology that allowed people to navigate the web effortlessly. There were multiple business models identified at the time varying in revenue generation capability and mass adoption. Finally, Search powered by targetted advertisement arose as the most suitable commercialization method for this technology. We want you to understand the cost structure of AI applications (development, hosting, sales, etc) and consider ways they can be best monetized allowing the best user experience and lower cost (targeted ads, memberships, government fundraising, etc.)

Task Expectations

We want you to identify a unique monetization opportunity with B2C AI applications. The solution should be both feasible and should also have potential to generate positive cashflow in a 10 period timeframe.

Task submission

Students are expected to submit their work as either presentations/ video submissions/ live product demos, etc. Using the auto generated Feedback Pull Request for review and submission Using GitHub Discussions to ask any relevant questions regarding the project
