Hangs upside down on the ceiling until the Player comes within range. It then flies at the Player in erratic patterns, dealing contact damage. It will also from time to time charge at the player, dealing contact damage and becoming unable to move for a short period afterward. Vampire Batlings spawn together in groups and swarm around the Player, attacking the Player at intervals that get increasingly shorter as members of their swarm die.

To fight them effectively, be sure to group them up together into tight spaces so you can kill as many of them as you can at once.
