I agree that uTox is not reliable as it crash pretty often on OS X and have security issues.

I don't think that it's needed. There is already link on a website pointing to other options.

What may be need though, is making it more clear that there are other options.

Indeed. Other clients like Toxy takes too few attention.

We're not going to link to any client binaries directly. We're changing that tomorrow, or as soon as we have time. And if we do come up with a scheme in the future where we do, you can rest assured that uTox will be included.
