Support for built-in collection of hardware metrics (think node_exporter subset).

Probably want to target netdata "System Overview" initially.

  • CPU
    • idle/iowait/irq/nice/steal/softirq/user/system time
    • irq/softirq count
    • softnet processed/dropped/squeezed
    • by core?
  • memory
    • free/used/cached/buffers
    • page faults
    • dirty/writeback
    • NUMA (misses?)
  • disk

    • total iops r/w
    • bytes used/available
    • by device?
  • network
    • total bytes in/out
    • total packets in/out
    • for physical interfaces
    • number of open sockets
    • by TCP/UDP
    • by device?
