1. When i press z, i get launched to the left and x takes me to the right, Can i disable this?

For (1): that functionality is part of the DevControl object. Either modify it or just remove it from the room to disable it.

For (2) and (3): To just make a level, copy DemoZone1 or DemoZone2 to get started. You can inspect the creation code of ZoneConfiguration under the general layer to get an idea of the room flow and adjust properties like the title and music.
Changing the file select menu is a little more complex. You need to look for refences to location_index and total_locations (for zones) or character_index and total_characters (for characters.) Here's a quick overview of what each relevant object does:

• FileSelectMenuPage: holds the basic functionality for navigating the file select menu - clicking / selecting files; deleting files; etc.
• FSExistingFileChoice: displays data on the menu for an existing save file
• FSCompleteFileChoice: same, but only for save files that have cleared the entire game
• GameSaveFile: the core save data currently managed by the game; go here to change what the first zone will be on a fresh save

For (4): There are no current plans to add new levels or tilesets, but that may change in the future.
