NASA WorldWind v1.5.1 - Release Notes

Released July 24, 2013

  • Note: This is a mirror of the NASA WWJ v1.5.1 release.
  • Note: This release contains the last copy of the WorldWind Java Server code. See the /servers folder in the worldwind-1.5.1.zip file.

Hotfix for v1.5.0 that repairs a geo-referencing issue with World Wind’s DTED elevation importer.

Archived Subversion Release

This archived World Wind Java release has been migrated to GitHub from the World Wind Subversion server. Subversion hosts the original v1.5.1 source code. The source code links below reference the initial commit to GitHub and are incorrect.

v1.5.1 (July 24, 2013)

  • Repaired an issue where the DTED file reader incorrectly added a 1/2 pixel border to the DTED bounding box.
  • Repaired an issue where the WWJ data importer's BIL writer output BIL world files with an incorrect pixel size.
  • Modified the DTED file reader to interpret values outside the practical range of [-12000,+9000] as missing values. See MIL-PRF-89020B sections 3.11.2 and 3.11.3 for more information on why this change is valid for DTED files.
