Half Fire Rate, Double Damage for Projectile weapons
20% increase in heat/energy of Beam weapons
20% reduction in Beam damage

Human, Coalition, Remnant, Ka'Het, and Hai done

Can merge if you want, but I just put this here so you can track the progress.
Might be best to wait until we're done with all of them.

Just a note in case this is a good place to catch you, I've updated the Spreadsheet to include both vanilla and proposed (by this PR) revamp weapons for humans.

The DPS change to Beam weapons looks absolutely spot on. The Efficiency change is good, but could probably stand to go a little bit further in order to be more balanced with the projectile weapons. Anything up to and including a 50% increase over vanilla would be fine from a balance perspective.

However, that's quite a big change in performance, and may be "too much to stomache" in one go (especially when compared with the 20% DPS debuff). Another problem with such a big change in Efficiency is how stock (and variant) loadouts will handle it (badly).

I guess this really goes to show just how unbalanced they are in vanilla.

Looking good so far. If you update your branch to bring in my recent changes, the check errors will go away.

Sorry it has taken a little while to get to this. Could I get a summary of the changes this implements as compared to vanilla please?

Half Fire Rate, Double Damage for Projectile weapons
20% increase in heat/energy of Beam weapons
20% reduction in Beam damage

For a more wordy addition:
Slowed down the fire rate of projectile weapons, but doubled their damage to award skillful pilots in both offense and defense.
Reduced the damage of Beam Weapons to be more in line with Projectile weapons.
Increased firing cost of Beam Weapons to make them less efficient.

…es" number to five (#78)

This moves all the Delta files over into their own unique folder so that it will have separate preferences, saves, plugins, errors.txt, etc from the regular alpha/beta version of ES. This also increases the number of previous saves from 3 up to 5, allowing players just a little bit more insurance against getting stuck and allowing the galaxy to be a little bit less "hand-holdy"

Note that pilot files, preference files, and plugins are still largely cross-compatible, so copying those from one to the other will still work, just with the usual minor problem that preferences from ESD that don't exist in ES will get erased, while prefferences that don't exist in ES will be blank/defautl when copied into ESD.
