Strange look of cyrillic symbols

Yep, currently Source Code Pro (the monospaced font used by Brackets to display the code) does not include Cyrillic characters. Support for the block seems to be on roadmap (it's a bug report agains Source Sans though).

I need to move this to backlog but it might actually be a feature the community would like to work on before it becomes a high enough priority for us.

There is a card in Trello for user-specified fonts which could fix your trouble here (you'd be able to select a font that supports Cyrillic).

I'll close this issue and put a link in Trello... Help from our community would be great here.

Looks like #3465 is tracking this now (to make the default font render well without manual tweaking)
