What happened?

Web UI changed Collapse Series checkbox to drop-down selector. This menu is not available inside the series view, so subseries can no longer be collapsed in the Web UI, option still exists in the Android App.

What did you expect to happen?

Collapse/Expand Series selector inside Series View.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to a series in Web UI
  2. Collapse/Expand Series option is not available

I originally opened issue on different account. The issue was originally noticed in Firefox on Ubuntu. Using the webapp now in Firefox on Windows, the subseries stay collapsed, but in Chrome on Windows they stay expanded like in Ubuntu.

The URL in the browser that collapses subseries ends in &collapseseries=1 but that is missing in the Chrome URL, and disappears if you try pasting it in.

Changing the Collapse/Expand setting in the Library View doesn't seem to affect this behavior. In both web browsers the subseries remain collapsed or expanded when you change the setting back and forth.

This is probably a bug I introdcued with #3117. I'll have a look.
