Support for Apple Silicon (M1)

Question is in three parts:

1. Does couchdb currently install/run natively on Apple silicon (M1)?

2. If not, are there plans to support this? The only mention I could find was Jan's Tweet from last year and the pull request it references.

3. If so, where would be the best place to track the status/progress? (if there are blockers, similar to the SpiderMonkey one above, is there a list of these anywhere?)

Background

I have couchdb installed locally on my Mac (via Homebrew) for development purposes.

Since getting an M1 mac, and switching my Homebrew installation over from the Intel (Rosetta2) version (/usr/local/homebrew) to the native ARM version (/opt/homebrew); the only package that I have not been able to successfully migrate across is couchdb.

spidermonkey@78: The x86_64 architecture is required for this software.
Error: couchdb: An unsatisfied requirement failed this build.

The error message references SM78; and Jan's tweet/PR specifically mentioned SM86 as being needed for Apple Silicon.

But it has been exactly 1 year since that PR was merged, so it is not clear whether there is something else preventing support for Apple Silicon?

Nevermind....the Apple Silicon support has recently appeared on https://formulae.brew.sh/formula/couchdb#default, and works as expected.
