An example of the input for the custom reports array config is below. The values can be found in the Service Titan UI when the custom report is created.
"custom_reports": [
{
"report_category": "accounting",
"report_name": "my_custom_accounting_report",
"report_id": "123",
"parameters": [
{
"name": "AsOfDate",
"value": "2024-09-01"
}
]
}
]
Optionally add a backfill_date_parameter
entry in the custom report item that references a date parameter which should be used to retrieve historical reports.
The parameter will be used to iterate that date value and extract the report for every day until the current date.
The backfill_date_parameter value must be in the parameters list.

This Singer tap will automatically import any environment variables within the working directory's
.env
if the --config=ENV
is provided, such that config values will be considered if a matching
environment variable is set either in the terminal context or in the .env
file.
You can easily run tap-service-titan
by itself or in a pipeline using Meltano.
tap-service-titan --version
tap-service-titan --help
tap-service-titan --config CONFIG --discover > ./catalog.json
Follow these instructions to contribute to this project.
pipx install poetry
poetry install
Create tests within the tests
subfolder and
then run:
poetry run pytest
You can also test the tap-service-titan
CLI interface directly using poetry run
:
poetry run tap-service-titan --help
Testing with Meltano
Note: This tap will work in any Singer environment and does not require Meltano. Examples here are for convenience and to streamline end-to-end orchestration scenarios.
Next, install Meltano (if you haven't already) and any needed plugins:
# Install meltano
pipx install meltano
# Initialize meltano within this directory
cd tap-service-titan
meltano install
Now you can test and orchestrate using Meltano:
# Test invocation:
meltano invoke tap-service-titan --version
# OR run a test `elt` pipeline:
meltano elt tap-service-titan target-jsonl
See the dev guide for more instructions on how to use the SDK to develop your own taps and targets.
