Objective

  • Remove CHANGELOG.md
  • it's redundant with the release blog / the git log
  • it's an extra step that may be forgotten in the release process (it was not updated for the 0.14)
  • it's an extra file at the root

Solution

  • Remove it

I have never found this particularly useful: I agree with your reasoning.
