Anyone interested in contributing to Boost.GIL should start the journey by reading all the information for contributors in the two main documents:

Additionally, there are some useful development guidelines collected on the Wiki page Guidelines.
Get in touch with the GIL development team by posting to the Boost.GIL mailing list (preferred, subscribe at https://lists.boost.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/boost-gil) or to the global Boost development list (subscribe at https://lists.boost.org/mailman/listinfo.cgi/boost) and explain what you are looking for, what is your plan and areas you would like to contribute to.
