Opening a file should be left to left-clicking a file. Right-clicking a file should only display the context menu for that file (or folder, but this issue is not for folder of course - yet)... I think most applications with a single-click--to-open mechanism work this way.

Especially when right-clicking an image (in the left pane) it's quite a rough transition from a dark theme to a clear white screen that display the image, when not expecting it (well, I do now, but it's still rough)

@thany It's good etiquette to search for existing issues and/or existing backlog features before filing a new bug. Only mentioning because I noticed you've filed a lot of issues today :-) Feedback is always welcomed, but the fewer dupes the better -- thanks!

I'll keep it in mind, sorry.
There's one thing to say for it: a dupe signals a certain level of urgency or at least precence of an issue. More dupes means more users have that same problem, which is a thing to keep in mind as well. But yeah, I understand your point.

@thany Yup, that's right. Best thing to do is when you locate a dupe, add a comment to note that you encountered the same issue. (But if you do file a new bug, we link it to the original bug so we can see in the original bug how many dupes were filed.) Some of us skim all the bug email, so even if it's an old bug we'll notice that someone else ran into it, and if we see enough of that we'll raise its visibility.
