Brave freezes after save or upload window closed

Description

Steps to Reproduce

First way (upload):

1. Open any website allowing you to upload a file, eg. How TO - File Upload Button on.
2. Click upload button.
3. Hit "cancel" button, select any file(s) and hit "select" or just close the window.

Second way (download):

1. Enable "Ask where to save each file before downloading" in Brave settings.
2. Visit any site allowing you to download file.
3. Select download link (or download button).
4. Hit "cancel" button, select any destination and hit "select" or just close the window.

Third way (save current webpage):

1. Open any tab (it can be even new tab or the current website you're reading).
2. Hit Ctrl+S to save the current webpage.
3. Hit "cancel" button, select any destination and hit "select" or just close the window.

Actual result:

All three ways leads to frozen window input:

• there's no way to click anything with a mouse,
• Tab / Shift+Tab doesn't move focus in the browser window,
• any other key shorctuts doesn't work (Ctrl+W etc.),
• window cannot be resized by dragging its corners,
• window can be resized by attaching (or detaching) the top bar to/from the top of the display (content is updated),
• dynamic content in the window is updated (eg. youtube webpage keeps playing the video and both picture and sound is played normally, though cannot be controlled in any way),
• the only was to close the window is to use a system menu or close the browser using a hamburger menu in another (not frozen) window.

Expected result:

No such freezes should take place.

I've found this issue in Chromium bugs tracker: Issue 1315684: Chrome freeze after file upload/download

I can confirm that running a command from this comment works as a workaround for now:

dconf write /org/gnome/desktop/sound/input-feedback-sounds false

Leaving the issue open as the situation described above shouldn't happen anyway.

I had the exact same issue on the same system (Ubuntu) and can confirm that the command works as a workaround! Thanks a lot @PiotrDabrowskey!
Another workaround I found but not applicable to uploads was to disable the option to choose the repertory each time for a download, in order to prevent the file manager window to open, and just directly download the file.

Also, I tested the issue in the beta build and have been able to reproduce the bug there.
I also tried in a freshly created user session and disabled Nvidia's Hardware Acceleration in the browser, none of these past solutions worked.

I'm having the same exact issue on Ubuntu 22.04.
I mainly use the beta version but when trying with the stable branch happens anyway.

Tried disabling the hw acceleration as some online posts suggests, didn't work.

The command suggested by @PiotrDabrowskey works, but I would prefer to not do things that I don't understand :o

More information: the browser continues to work, I had a video running in a tab and it continued to play, also visually, the tab is graphically updating itself, the only issue is that the interface doesn't react to the mouse of keyboard, even the program menu is no more accessible. It's like there would be a window that is not properly closed after we download a file or printing the page. If this issue is not resolved soon, I will have to switch back to Opera.

I have the same problem started today/yesterday when brave updated itself for me. Never had this issue before the most recent update. I'd be willing to bet rolling back to the previous version of brave would fix it for me, but I have no idea how to do so.
