Steps to Reproduce

1. install 1.47.20
2. launch Brave
3. enable Brave News v2 via brave://flags
4. open a new-tab page
5. scroll down
6. click on Show Brave News
7. click on Customize
8. type popularmechanics
9. click the Follow button

Difficult to test since Popular Mechanics is now 2 words! But I think this is fixed via brave/brave-core#15814 so would be good to check
