Can we force a contribution at an arbitrary time?

Description

Because I was tired of waiting for contribution dates that don't actually contribute when they arrive I decided to try to force the contribution to happen sooner. I made sure I was over the minimum 30 minute browse time and then I edited C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\brave\ledger-state.json and changed the reconcileStamp to a time a few hours in the future.

The time has come and gone and the browser state did change to an intermediate status which I don't recall and now has been showing the following for several days:

Overdue

My questions are:

1. Is modifying the the date as I described safe and/or effective from a brave functionality standpoint? Are there problems to be aware of? Or is it not likely to work at all?
2. Am I now in some inconsistent state that now needs to be fixed?
