After removing a cabal, there's some stale data hanging out that needs to be cleaned up otherwise it crashes requiring a restart.

@nikolaiwarner I was messing around with this tonight and was able to stop it from crashing with master...wittjosiah:fix/remove-crash. Not sure if that's along the lines of what you were thinking or not.
