cd ../jekyll-private/scripts
npm i
node create-jekyll-post.js
There are two phases, one in CloudNotes and one in charliecalvert.github.io.
In cloud notes choose this option from package.Json:
npm run InsertFrontMatterNotWorking2
That will put front matter in any files that are missing the front pattern; Then choose copy-main.sh from this script's directory and this repo.
Use:
npm run copy
The run this command:
./copy-chaio-to-elves.sh # Copy files to /var/www/elves
like this:
#!/bin/bash
cn # Go to CloudNotes
npm run InsertFrontMatterNotWorking2 # Insert front matter
chaio # Go to charliecalvert.github.io
npm run copy # Copy files from CloudNotes to charliecalvert.github.io
./create_site.sh # Create Jekyll _site
cd scripts/
./copy-chaio-to-elves.sh # Copy Jekyll _site to /var/www/elves
Go to this file:
- $GIT_HOME/CloudNotes/lib/walk-markdown-files.mjs
- Add match const isMatch = (...)
Run a command like this:
export CN_COMMAND="node lib/walk-markdown-files.mjs"
DEBUG=lib:walk-markdown-files:gp $CN_COMMAND
Go to this file:
- $GIT_HOME/CloudNotes/lib/guide-objects-caps.mjs
- be sure you have an object defining the value used in the match.
Run the appropriate script from this directory: /home/ubuntu/Git/charliecalvert.github.io/scripts
Like this:
#!/bin/bash
# Copy files to css-guide directory
SOURCE_DIR="$CLOUDNOTES/elvenware/development/web/CsharpGuide/"
DEST_DIR="$HOME/Git/charliecalvert.github.io/elves/_csharp-guide"
rsync -avrun --delete --include="*/" --include="*.md" --exclude="*" ${SOURCE_DIR} ${DEST_DIR}
This is a dry run. When you are ready remove the letter n from the first parameter:
-avrun => -avru
---
Run:
```bash
bundle install
bundle update
bundle exec jekyll build --watch
Create a link to your work.
In the charliecalvert.github.io directory update the _config.yml file:
collections:
android-guide:
output: true
css-guide:
output: true
cloud-guide:
output: true
csharp-guide:
output: true
database-guide:
output: true
In the scripts directory there are several files. On the local machine, run copy-to-aws.sh. This will copy the referenced files to the server and also and also copy the ZIP file containing the keys.
On the remote machine run the other three scripts in order.
I get this message after running bundle install. I'm not sure exactly what it means.
Post-install message from sass:
Ruby Sass has reached end-of-life and should no longer be used.
- If you use Sass as a command-line tool, we recommend using Dart Sass, the new primary implementation: https://sass-lang.com/install
- If you use Sass as a plug-in for a Ruby web framework, we recommend using the sassc gem: https://github.com/sass/sassc-ruby#readme
- For more details, please refer to the Sass blog: https://sass-lang.com/blog/posts/7828841
Post-install message from rubyzip: RubyZip 3.0 is coming!
The public API of some Rubyzip classes has been modernized to use named parameters for optional arguments. Please check your usage of the following classes:
Zip::File
Zip::Entry
Zip::InputStream
Zip::OutputStream
Please ensure that your Gemfiles and .gemspecs are suitably restrictive to avoid an unexpected breakage when 3.0 is released (e.g. ~> 2.3.0). See https://github.com/rubyzip/rubyzip for details. The Changelog also lists other enhancements and bugfixes that have been implemented since version 2.3.0.
