Description

removes the check for AllowUpdateAfter... as code migrations will upgrade ClientState regardless of this check

closes: #607

Excellent! :)

Some documentation that should be done with this pr:

  • set proto field to deprecated like I did for misbehaviour.ClientId
  • update ADR 026 (maybe add a "Deprecating AllowUpdateAfter... field" section, explaining the reasoning and maybe linking my issue
  • update our update client proposal documentation (I think we have some cli information)
  • add changelog entry

Doing a grep on AllowUpdate I also see that testing/config.go fields can be removed. It actually might be best to do this in a followup pr since this pr can be backported to minor releases but removing the fields from testing would be API breaking (we really need a separate go.mod for testing)

super nit: I prefer prepending the case name with success: ... rather than PASS: ... personally (just keeping things consistent) :-)
